2010 Indie Grits Film Festival in Columbia

Spotlight on a THCSC grant-funded project.

The Nickelodeon Theatre in Columbia, SC is hosting the 4th Annual Indie Grits Film Festival, a unique independent film festival. The Indie Grits Film Festival will take place April 14 - April 18, 2010 at various venues in Columbia, SC. The Humanities CouncilSC supported this program through a February 2010 Major Grant.

The Indie Grits Film Festival features the best in low-budget independent film from the Southeast, offering exhibition opportunities to little-known and first-time media makers. More than 50 independent films, including feature films and shorts, will be shown at 14 different programs over the course of the festival.

Additionally, several special opportunities are available to participants and attendees, including live music, workshops, and a special screening of treasures from the University of South Carolina's Moving Image Research Collection.
